I must agree, we love sitting out and looking at the stars and fireflies and the moon. Even watching the light of the campfire is wonderful, and I don't mind folks who have rope lights on, or porch lights, and even having a lantern is fine. I think like quite time there should also be bright lights time. Thanks for posting.
I think campfires are expected at State and National and especially USFS campgrounds and I'd just stay away from them if I didn't like their use. Can't take the kids out camping without letting them make S'mores or marshmallows over the fire. Its UnAmerican. LOL
