One of the things that I really loved about the canoe camping we did years ago was sitting at a small fire on a very isolated camp site, compared to RVing. Sometimes we could see another fire across the lake, a half mile or so away. The sky would be so clear and the stars looked wonderful. Sometimes we could see a satellite going by. And the only noise might be a frog or a beaver slapping its tail on the water. Great memories.
I guess I just don't expect RVing to be like that.
