Jake might be fun for a night especially if ribs and beverages are included. I'm guessing the large fire is a result of a generous application of charcoal starter (don't ask why I think that). It looks like there is little if any wind and it's out in the open. I worry when huge fires are blazing near or under trees or in the fall with the leaves on the ground.
I think there is room for all and the various camping styles as long as the rules are followed and one is courteous to their neighbors. When hundreds of people are packed into a confined area, there will be noise and lights and to think otherwise is pretty unrealistic.
BUT....I still don't understand the need to use all the lights all night that some like to have!
