There are a few really nice lake front camping places near by,, try Collins lake, North of Amadore in Yuba County.. Also up the "50 corridor" are a few more...
Been to Amador a few times myself. Have had my line cut more than once by another boater. Never camped there...saw too many "Jake" types even in the daytime, lol. (yes I know who I am responding to)Have caught some mighty nice "cutbows" out of there. 6 - 8 lbers are not all that uncommon.
