The disrespectful attitudes got to me a little. Kids should be supervised and, as far as I'm concerned, raised to respect others space and privacy. That's all.
The negative responses you have received are probably from the parents of a lot of these unsupervised kids that we are encountering more, and more these days. If those kids were taught the proper respect by their parents, most likely the only response you would have got from them was an okay.
