Same here for west Texas and it is predicted to be over 101F today and less time on the side of the road or in a bar ditch full of grass burrs.
I have used a breaker bar but the other issue is if the wheel has to be in contact with the ground to prevent it from turning when you break the lug nuts. With an impact driver they will knock them loose with the wheel off the ground.
