Unless there is more to the story I don't really see the problem. How long do you plan to keep the coach and will six months when you are ready to sell it make that much difference? You are not in the US anymore and they apparently do things differently. Is that bad? And by your own mention you certainly are not being singled out as you indicated others went through the same issue. And those folks are not concerned enough to make it a big deal. Sometimes it is better to pick and choose the fights you want to really fight. Keep your Montana registration so when you sell it you can show the new buyer that in the US it was registered to a different date if that makes any difference at all.
