My dad was living with us because he was suffering from dementia and began to have problems with incontinence. The urologist checked him over and determined his prostrate was enlarged but not cancerous. Surgery was not an option due to his age. We tried some of the medicines available but they caused him to have explosive bowel movements. We stopped using the meds. At first Depends with rubber underpants worked but eventually it got to the point where they would leak.
The solution was to have the DR. insert a catheter and replace it once every 3 months. We hooked up the catheter to a leg bag or a large bag at night. It worked great for travelling and everyday life. Eventually after watching the nurses insert the catheters, I decided I could do it. So for the last 3 years of his life I handled the catheter replacement.
Recently I discovered a natural product that supposedly helps to control by helping to rebuild the muscles in your urinary tract. It's made by a company AZO and is called Go-Less

The reviews indicate it works well but takes about 3 weeks to see improvement.
It uses pumpkin and soy seed extracts as the ingredients. Discovered by Japanese researchers....
