Spider bites are nothing to be casual about. I would get a professional exterminator to treat your camper. I know about this personally, as I was bitten by a brown recluse spider, ended up in the hospital for a week and seeing a doctor for a couple months afterward. Tissue on the back of my leg died and the doctor was worried about damage to veins and arteries. Fortunately that didn't happen, but I got medical treatment within about 24 hours of being bitten and he said that was a saving grace. I still have a major scar on the back of my leg after 20 years.
In Minnesota?? Or, were you down south then. I didn't think we had any dangerous insects around here. (Except like was said, West Nile from a mosquito bite.)
No, I got bit in Phoenix, AZ, but I lived in Southern Illinois at the time and they were also there. When people move to different areas of the country, they can and do take the spiders with them, and they can live in the colder climates if they just stay in the house. So it is possible that houses in MN do have the brown recluse. They are very small, and as the name suggests, they hide behind things. They are not aggressive, but if you roll onto them while sleeping, etc. they will bite.
And in my neck of the northwoods, we have lots of deer ticks which carry lime disease.
Yes, I forget about Lime Disease . We do not have a lot of deer ticks around here but, we have a few. It's always good to take precautions.
