I believe Goodyear Marathon said 5# on their web site.
I've only heard of this reccomendation for light duty Marathons, 14-15" sizes. Not sure if it helps, I've done it in the past and I've still personally lost more Maratons to de lamination of the tread cap than all other trailer tires combined. Even went to a Goodyear tire shop when on the road, only tire shop around, buddy lost 2 marathons same trip so no spare. The Goodyear dealer would not sell a Marathon tire, didn't even carry them.........
In general don't exceed max sidewall posted psi.
Subjectively, there's the safety factor there too that one could probably dip into with higher pressures. My last company 2011 F150, towed heavy quite a bit and the company would not buy me LT tires for the new truck. I ran those P rated back tires at 55-60psi for thousands of miles and never could blow one.
