There is a big difference between whether a vehicle CAN tow something and whether it SHOULD tow something. This thread could run for weeks like so many before it. You are going to hear many say BAD IDEA (me included) and many compelling stories of others who are doing it. There is no right/wrong unless you end up damaging the truck, or being involved in an accident due to overloading. Im not gonna be the guy pulling you over and giving you a ticket or threatening you with a lawsuit. The choice is yours so I suggest you read every "weight police" thread on here and decide if you truly understand all the numbers involved and which ones are "legal" and which ones may harm you or your family or those sharing the road. I don't normally weigh in on these threads but it just makes me angry when an rv'er is told their diesel can PULL ANYTHING! That's just so wrong!
