Okay I posted about my experience with the Rattlesnake. Our rig is coming back in this weekend and I was talking to the safety man with total safety and he told me to spread moth balls around the motorhome and especially under our steps (as most people bitten are as they step off their steps). He said that is what they do and all gate guards that he has had use mothballs has not had a problem with rattlers. He also said put the mothballs along the grass line to keep them from coming up on the pad.
Hope this helps, I am not afraid of snakes but when that rattler was only 12" from my foot....well that was a different story.
