There are companies that hire singles (there are some at Gate Guard Services). Some have gates that are tailored for singles-usually they're only open certain hours. Sometimes you are asked to work what is called a slow gate. How you get food and sundries on a 24 hr. gate is a mystery to me. I've heard all kinds of stories.
