Just because one company man was bad, does not mean they all are that way. I just want the extra money for all the extra work. The EOG company man told me all their gates were that busy.
So the question is; are you getting more than $125.00 per day ?
Our experience with EOG was the company man is the day to day boss but the Construction Superintendent is the one signing off on the invoices. He is the go-to guy for getting the rate increase. EOG's rate for the Barnett was:
+$50/day for every rig over one
+$50/day for frac crew if you had another rig or frac crew already on site.
+$50 for 3 workover rigs or more with one of the above present.
5 frac crews would pay $325/day
3 rigs / frac crew / 3 workover rigs = $325/day
In our case, showing 25+ pages of sign-ins for a 24 hour period was proof positive. You WILL not get the big money without earning it. It was brutal work. - mdbassExplorer

Wow the last two weeks has been hectic, fracing crew for 4 1/2 days then the roll tubing guysin for a few days then the crew that drilled out the plugs and then the flow back team. A lot of night work especially with the sand trucks. Now they are all gone and the well is producing good. We are setteling back to day only work. Today only 2 guys in the rest are off on Sunday. The pipeline crew come in about 6AM but leave about 3 PM 6 days...no work on Sunday.
Aha! No Sunday work-sounds like football time to me! and a nap LOL - Don_SharExplorerWow the last two weeks has been hectic, fracing crew for 4 1/2 days then the roll tubing guysin for a few days then the crew that drilled out the plugs and then the flow back team. - rabajaraExplorerIt was the company man that we could not please. He was always complaining about something. Are you getting paid more for 2 rigs ? We had 5 activities on the site we were on and no extra money. That was with 2 rigs too. I figure if you are on a EOG gate and you are dealing with the right people it would be ok.
But i don't want on a gate that will not pay more for all the activities going on. That is my main concern now.
I would take another EOG gate if they pay more for 2 rigs.

The Pioneer company man here, came from EOG and when I talked to him about last year, he knew immediately who I was talking about. That area manager for EOG evidently created to many problems for them and is no longer with them. Knowing that, we would not mind trying another EOG gate.
We're on an EOG company gate, with two rigs. They've been very easy to work with/for. They built us a new pad (two levels) a couple of days after we got here. The original location for us was not going to work in order to cover both gates efficiently/logistically.
I've read/heard stories of others who had a different experience with EOG. Our experience has been a positive one IMO. - LeathercrafterExplorerWe're on an EOG company gate, with two rigs. We went to one Conoco site last year where the Co man did not like the pad for us, either location or placement, so he had them come back and build one where he wanted it and to the size we wanted. He left the supervision up to us, when the company got there to relocate it......:BThe Texan wrote:
Conoco was the one that redid the pad for us last year. Good company to be with.
I passed a newly-built rig site today near Kenedy. The RV site at the gate hardly looked big enough to park a car on. Yes, I am thankful that Conoco is so generous with their RV pads. - Blondie_GirlExplorer

They were gone for a few weeks. Also while sitting at the yard there were guards there that were waiting on certain job or rigs. Once we were offfered a job with EOG, which we have had a bad experience with. I told DH, i don't want their gate, but then again if that is all there is, we need to take it. I did not want to sit at the yard and turn down gates. By the time he got back to JR, there was a Petro-Hawk gate that came up. Low and behold, we took their gate and got kicked off of it 10 days later. When you get as many guards as GGS has, there is always people who take advantage of the good things. Not all gate guards are angels, like most of us. For us we are not going to sit in one of their yards and take time off to rest or have fun. While i was healing from hand surgery last Dec 2010, we went to a recreational park to stay for a while. Unless you walk a mile in their shoes, you will not know what is going on. Guess everyone knows by now that there is two sides to a board, lets turn the board over and see what the other side has to offer. When we got kicked off of the Perto-Hawk gate, we thought we were the perfect guards. A lady came in one night at midnight. DH, got her ****off by asking her to move her vehicle over so he would not have to walk in the mud. She started yelling out all kinds of nasty language. She also told him she had a friend on the rig that she was going to talk to. Patterson rig,it was. The next day it was told to GGS,that DH, gave her a cussing. And they wanted us replaced. Guess what! We did not get to state our case, it was a one sided board. Fair! I don't think so. I hope we can stick together and help each other out, when needed. Most of us are baby-boomers and was raised by good standards. Sure would be nice to have a lady day out, around Karnes City & Kenedy. Anyone interested ?
