Welcome to the gate guard community. Make sure you check out Andy's
forum (www.myoldrvforum.com) Have you got a gate yet? We do the fulltime thang with two hounds and a cat! The cat's name is Bubbles. Good Luck!
Thanks Mark.
We got our first gate last Sunday (we were on Blondie's while they were in Austin) and moved this morning to another one. We're starting to figure things out - our biggest problem is the internet - gotta get a booster. Will be taking care of that very soon! - mdbassExplorer

so how many rigs are currently sitting in the Whitset yard? Our job ends tomorrow so we were planning on heading that way.
We just came back from spending a few days in Austin.
We stayed at the Whitsett yard last night and went back to our gate this morning. One couple was going out to a gate when we pulled in yesterday(1 PM)and the other couple there went to a gate this morning.
The couple that were taking our place were being put on a gate also.
So as of this morning, there was no one waiting in the Whitsett yard. - mimi55Explorerso how many rigs are currently sitting in the Whitset yard? Our job ends tomorrow so we were planning on heading that way.

Christi - mimi55ExplorerDid anyone go to the J & G training? If so, what was your opinion of the company?
- mdbassExplorerI thought I'd run to get a kolache yesterday-figured no big deal since it's a mile away. Boy was I wrong. Saw at least three accidents coming and going. The kolache wasn't worth it. :(
- The_TexanExplorerOne went to the hospital in critical condition, he's the one that ran under the semi. The other swerved to miss him and a bunch of stupid ones standing along the road gawking and took out a pipe fence. He had normal whip lash, but sure tore up a beautiful GMC Yukon.
- mimi55Explorerhope everyone is alright.
- The_TexanExplorerKnew it was going to happen, sooner or later. The heavy fog yesterday and the heavy oil field semi traffic on our road was a dangerous combination. Two of our guys, on their way in to work, ran into the back of a tanker stopped on the road trying to find a gate to the tank farm just east of us. The fog was so thick, we could not see the stop sign from our steps, 25' away.
Today the wind is blowing so hard, even the cows are lying down to keep from getting blown over...:B
