Love my MiFi and not contract.
Tell me more. You do have to have a wifi or cellular signal to use it, right?
Some people have difficulty understanding MiFi (BTW I am NOT an expert)and that it works off of the cellular signal-3g or 4g. If your booster gets a strong cellular signal, your MiFi should work. We have never been able to get good video, if any. But we do have internet and e-mail. We are using a SOHO YX 545 which amplifys an EXISTING signal and it works well. Andy (www.myoldrv.com) has several good articles about boosting your signal and acquiring internet on his blog. We went with Virgin when they offered unlimited internet at $40 a month. They now have added to their contract that they can limit any usage above 5 gigabytes-but we have never had a problem. You can purchase the MiFi used for under $50, or just over $100 new. You should check with your cellular provider and if they offer MiFi. It makes it a lot simpler to have all your devices with one company. BTW-read the fine print carefully as most companies limit your usage-only a few truly offer unlimited usage. - mdbassExplorer

Okay I have told you about killing rattle snakes. We are on a gate at Artesia Wells. Our neighbor has a friend that took the skin on the smaller snake and made me a hat band....with the rattles attached. It was a better skin than the big ones were.
Cool! I would buy one of those things!! - Don_SharExplorerOkay I have told you about killing rattle snakes. We are on a gate at Artesia Wells. One of those rigs at Whitsett is Bob & Nancy Woods, who are just coming off a gate and getting ready to leave for the summer. They plan on returning the end of August, as they realize in this economy a winter job must start early, if you want one. Several of the folks that jumped ship to what they thought was a better company and more money, have come back here, looking for their job back.
Welcome Chaos Agent and hopefully you will be on a gate soon. If you are still waiting, stop out and see us, just south of Three Rivers.
Thanks for the invite. We'll see how it goes. - GGupExplorer

I have to use a Wilson Booster here for my cellular but it does boost the signal and we can use the phone IF we are on the pad with the phone. - The_TexanExplorerOne of those rigs at Whitsett is Bob & Nancy Woods, who are just coming off a gate and getting ready to leave for the summer. Noticed 4 RV's in Whitsett today, just not sure if they are leaving for the summer or starting a gig. Is anyone doing a job in Poth for Hunt on the Bar None ranch?
have a good one
We're one of the 4 rigs at Whitsett. We got here last Thursday and there was already 4 rigs here. We had to park over at the side for a couple of days with just 50 amps.
On Sunday one rig left for a gate and we moved to the full hookup area. Then yesterday two more rigs headed out, leaving only us and another rig, who I think is just parking here. I've never seen a vehicle or anybody around.
Today, Tuesday, we drove down to Corpus to finish up our paperwork and take our test. When we got home, there were two rigs parked beside us. Then later in the afternoon, another rig came in and parked over at the side like we did originally.
Supposedly we'll have a gate in the next couple of days. - mimi55ExplorerNoticed 4 RV's in Whitsett today, just not sure if they are leaving for the summer or starting a gig. Is anyone doing a job in Poth for Hunt on the Bar None ranch?
