We are camp hosting so we like using electric heat since it's free. Need a new space heater and am wondering about the infrared heaters I'm seeing. Do they heat as well as a regular space heater?
I would say the best retrofit is a Cheap Heat system, as it uses the existing furnace fan and such.
I personally use (or used, as it is A/C weather here in Texas) Vornado heaters, which do a great job at warming up an entire vehicle. They won't feel warm in one location as well as other heater types, but are good at getting an entire space up to par.
Oil-filled are quiet, but for me, they take up too much space, so a fan forced one is the next best thing.
