Inline Fuse To Connect LED Strips To 12V?

Question

I'm looking to hook my LED strips directly to my 12V system and it was suggested to use an inline fuse on the line. What would I need for that?

For what it's worth, the line we're tapping in to is 14G.

In line fuse looks like this. Install on the hot lead, between the lights and where you tap into power.

For what it's worth, the line we're tapping in to is 14G.I assume you are bypassing the fuse box?  If you are tapping into a fused circuit, the fuse is unnecessary.  Just make you are not overloading the circuit.
