The first answer was the Best and Correct. YOUR insurance carrier is the ONLY one that give you the correct answers. I would also request it in written form. - Homer1ExplorerNormally most insurance will cover another user of your equipment. However, check the clause that if you charge, it becomes a different animal and they generally will not pay. So I guess I am saying if you are going to charge your friend, do it under the table, no written agreements.
- wildtoadExplorer IIMy guess is that unless prohibited by your policy then if you let a friend drive it your insurance is effect. If he pays you for it does not matter. If you make a habit of lending for money, then you will need a new policy as it will now be considered a rental. But as others have said check with you agent.
- ScottGNomadYes, your ins. will cover them BUT, the inc. company can go after them for any loss it incurs.
So while your rig will for sure be covered, your friend may end up paying the bill for any damage no matter who's to blame. - WalabyExplorer IIHow in the world would you expect anyone to have an answer, if you can't answer the question yourself.
I can't read your insurance policy. If you want to scan it and post it online we can all offer you our opinion.
I'll say they should be covered. If they get into a wreck or damage it, just tell your insurance company that the folks on RV.Net said you should be covered.
Sheesh....
