Insurance pay for plugging into the wrong power sorce?

I would absolutely file a claim as long as I determine the damage as as extensive as it seems. That's why we pay for insurance. We don't hesitate to file a claim for "accidents" although there at no "accidents". Every collision has a cause. Generally a stupid/careless driver is the cause. Making a mistake is no reason for the insurance company to deny the claim.
