Some things that might have been damaged.
Automatic transfer switch, MINE would not be bothered by that goof but some other makes would (Mine basically ignores shore power, it only reads generator power, if no generator it just passes shore on to load center)
Energy management system if you have one, NOTE: Two different products are called EMS.. One would have protected the RV (By self sacrafice perhaps but it would have protected) I strongly suggest you get one of these Generically we call them Surge Guards.. and unlike the "Surge Strip" Spike suppressors they really ARE surge guards. YOur buddy had a SURGE, not a spike.
The other EMS is teh one that sheds loads so you can run both A/Cs (one at a time) on 30 amps without tripping park breaker.. BOTH have LCD displays.
(The spike suppressors do not have LCD displays, save your money on them)
Progressive Industries of the same size as the rv. (Links at end of post)
Now: Damage suspect list continue
ATS (Already listed)
Converter
Microwave
Televisions, radios, DVD/BLue Ray players, Radios and other electronics
Fridge (Control board, about a hundred bucks, if toasted get a replacement from Dinosaur boards) Water heater (Most likely ok but see Dino again) Air conditioners (Again most likely ok) VERY slim chance the fridge and/or water heater heat elements bought it.. IF they were off they should be OK.
Basically anything and everything that can operate on 120vac
There are 4 I would recommend, I will link to one
http://www.progressiveindustries.net/ems_hw50c.htmThis is a 50 amp model, if you want the 30 change hw50c to hw30c
They make both plug in and hard wired, Nearly identical save for that, I recommend the hard wired.
Some people like to wire it between the ATS (Auto transfer switch) and power distribution panel.. I do not feel the need to put in in line with the generator, only shore power.. I trust my Onan's computer to do the same job.
