Jun 02, 2016I'm a long term CR subscriber and usually make most purchase decisions based on what I see in CR. I also participate in CR surveys.
I know Jeeps in general rank low in CR, however, that doesn't mean all Jeeps are bad. I purchased my '14 4X4 GC two years ago and haven't had any problems with it so far. I have towed my TT with the GC about 4K miles without any problems, including traversing many mountain passes as high as 8K feet.
I also owned a German SUV for 12 trouble-free years that CR deemed troublesome.
Like someone said earlier, the worst vehicles today are probably much better than the best vehicles 30 years ago.
