Wonder how the study's analysts figured out the water consumption figures? Last I heard avg. daily water consumption was about 65 gals per person. Maybe they just took the average RV's water tank capacity and extrapolated a figure which may or may not take into account use of water outside the RV.
Did they measure how much water was used each day by the entire campground? Or just from the on board tanks?
My point exactly though you expressed it better. I'm quite sure that although many RVers have onboard water tanks they also use water from the campground. And if someone is staying at a campsite with a water hookup I kinda think they are no longer paying as much attention to water usage as they would when boondocking.
