I think it comes out a wash if you keep the RV for 10+ years but sleeping in my own bed and following my own departure schedule without being probed every time I need to travel is priceless
Bathing suits: $300
Airfare for 3 adults: $1500
Rental of snorkel gear: $145
Snorkeling with an octopus: Priceless!
Took roughly 9 hours to go from home to St. John. In 9 hours of driving I MIGHT make it to DC, VA or OH. No traffic hassles, buzzed through security at the airport, and relaxed on the flight down. And was handed a rum sample when we landed. :B Doesn't matter how you travel, just that you do.
I'm curious as to how the figures in that article were calculated as well. Seems a bit slanted but we all know that statistics don't lie but statisticians do.
