Internet Access at Michigan State Parks

We take long weekend camping trips and usually go to Michigan State Parks. I need to work while we are camping and need internet access to do so. I have an iPhone with Verizon service and an iPad with AT&T service. At many campgrounds I get ZERO signal or very little signal (these Michigan Campgrounds include: Fisherman's Island, Algonac, Lakeport and others), so am unable to use my phone or iPad for a Hotspot. So far, I have had to pack everything up and find a restaurant in nearby towns that have free Wi-Fi in order to work.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem - a way to get internet access while on the road with little to no cell signal, without having to leave the campground?

Thanks in advance!
  • Thanks GordonThree - but the whole issue for me is that I can only go on these camping vacations if I can work while camping. This means two laptops connected to multiple computers via internet. I would love to be able to be off grid - but don't have that luxury :(.
  • You really need to look at what Wilson Electronics has to offer.
My repeater is years old and only good for 3G, but I have never been any place in the lower (and a lot of the upper) that I did not have at least 3G. I want to upgrade that to the newer version, but Barry put me out of business so it isn't even deductible and with my retirement taken away it is hard to afford. But Wilson is your guys for this stuff. Solid Signal is a good supplier and they are in Novi. They really don't have a store front, but you can place and pay for an order and pick it up there.
