A buddy and I were traveling on motorcycles, and tenting. It was starting to get dark in the mountains, so we stopped to spend the night near a little roadside stop. You could camp in the NF, but not actually at the little stop.
It had to be below freezing at that elevation over night. I was so cold in the morning, that I just had to go out of my little tent to walk around.
I walked to the outhouse, at the little park, rather than use the nature facilities, due to a big MH just pulling in. As I was heading back to our tents, a lady called out, asking if I would like a hot cup of coffee.
I could not believe it, when she and her husband invited me inside to warm up, and enjoy my coffee. When my buddy got up, and asked what the noise was earlier, I told him, just some friends in a MH, that stopped to share coffee with me.
To this day, when I am in my warm FW camping in the mts, I will offer a cup of coffee to go, to a cold tenter that is camping in the same CG.
