Personally, if we're talking children, I would. Adults can deal with it. An adult can walk into the weeds/woods and squat or zip it out, I can see where a child could be too freaked out about that.
Funny, I've saved myself from responding so far. This one made me laugh. I'm sure you're right that most kids would have issues peeing places- but my daughter has peed in all sorts of places from the time that she was potty training through now (at 10). She's tinkled off of a curb, SUV door jamb and truck's bed step. Never had to make the poops, but other than the crunchiness of napkins- I'm sure little miss would have no issue with it. :D
I'm firmly in the "it depends" camp and yes, I would have no problem telling some yes and some no without explanation. Yes, I would think of the possibility of something being stolen, but unlike one of the prior respondents- I don't have anything "good" in my medicine cabinet. I can imagine that's a real valid fear for folks on medications.
As for the slip and fall liability, I'm willing to brave that one if the time were ever to come.
So far, in my short bit of traveling- other than being the one to wheel off of the road due to a traffic jam for *me* to make tinkles, I've never had the situation come up.
I am certain that I would offer drinks and snacks up to anyone who asked.
