Is being a little over GVWR no worse than doing 60 in a 55?

We're struggling between a Lance1985 and a 2285 and to add to that struggle are concerned about our RAM1500 tow capabilities. Many, maybe a majority, are pulling 1985s and 2285s size TTs, 4500 to 500...

Must have been a typo. Although the axles will hold 7800, my GVWR is 6900....similar to most 1/2 ton CC 4x4s I think. All 1/2 tons are "light."
