Is being a little over GVWR no worse than doing 60 in a 55?

We're struggling between a Lance1985 and a 2285 and to add to that struggle are concerned about our RAM1500 tow capabilities. Many, maybe a majority, are pulling 1985s and 2285s size TTs, 4500 to 500...

OMG!! I do both am I a super danger on the road???


As do most commercial trucking (all sizes) on the road we travel with every day on our work commute of pulling the RV on trips.
I've always thought it amusing when a RVer claims someone is a danger for being over a GVWR or make a silly statement like "tell us your route so we can avoid it"...... but think noting about using the same route with trucking that is operating the same size truck they drive. :h
