If you are a windoz user just hit the print screen button on your keyboard then open MS Paint and Then hit ctrl + V and then use the select tool to cut the pic out of the screen shot. Then you can paste it into Word and then Save the screen capture as a jpg. Sounds like a lot of steps but it's not hard.
On a Mac you just hit cmd +shift + 3 and the screen shot is captured on your desktop. Open the screen shot and do pretty much the same thing as me once in paint. Select the are and save the new image as a JPG
Or just use Jing and directly capture an area of your screen and save it as a JPG. Jing is THE SINGLE MOST UNDERRATED FREE SOFTWARE AVAILABLE TODAY.
