Campa-Chem been using it for years and is still sold in all stores. NOT their new eco friendly version. The one that states powerful odor control on the label. Boaters and RV'ers have been using this stuff for eons and will continue to do so. It breaks down the waste and controls odors.
An RV toilet is not your house toilet. When you flush an RV toilet it is WIDE open to the holding tank. There is no s-ptrap filled with water to stop the odor like your house toilet.
I will NOT help a newbie with dumping if they don't use chems. The stench just around the closed valves is enough to gag a maggot.
Try RV'ing in the deep south without chems and that's where you will likely see all the posts about, "why does my RV smell", "why does it smell when I dump", "why does it smell around the sewer hookup next to my RV, etc."?.
