Is it okay to drop my tip out beds at rest stops or Walmart?

Our old HTT had 3 fold out beds. When we stopped at a Walmart for the night, the only one we used was the front bed. It could be folded down while still hooked up to the Tow Vehicle, so it didn't take up any extra room. We never used the side or back bed while at a Wal-Mart/Flying J. The side bed, definitely not. The back bed we might have if we really needed it, but we never did.
