Run your heater on high for about 15mins when you first turn it on, otherwise it may take quite a bit longer to spread to the whole pad.

Turn out the lights to help see the dim glow :-)

Our entire group has used Catalytic Heaters in our RV's and trailers hunting up North in Canada for many, many years without a problem of any kind.
The Olympian Wave series even comes with instructions on proper air circulation in RV's for their units.

Francesca Knowles - I was looking for my gun as well to finish me off hehe... Didn't mean to start anything - my post was more about venting fumes then the installation. I would think the flexible hose connections would be safe to bend. I would probably do a full 360 degree loop to feed the Wave heater after reading the comments here.

Mounting to a cabinet door sure has its convenience.

For some reason I never thought this type of heater would be a factory install but an after-market install??? Interesting to read some come this way from the factory.

I survived all of my tent camping outings back in the 50s and 60s using the Coleman and Mr Buddy catalytic heaters. I loved the round COLEMAN where you filled it up with white gas then turned it upside down for the gas to pool on the top grill - then lit it off- It would shoot a flame up three or four feet until it finally turned to a big red glow. Would run all night after that... Sure warmed up the biggest tents. I have burned up my gloves many times thawing them out laying on top hehe. I still have a MR BUDDY Heater for my POPUP for a PLAN B situation.

I would certainly respect the use of any catalytic type heater.
The last recent related deaths I have read about was a camping couple at the Talladega Superspeedway NASCAR race track last month. May have been generator related...

Propane "building codes" for RV's have mostly to do with fire protection- most recent version at this link.

No difference in the floor plans that have the kitchen in the slide. Something somewhere has got to be flexible.

think about all those 'pups' that had lift up cabinets with cook top installed
and the ones that had/have swing out outdoor kitchens/stoves and grills
all of these are connected the same way 'flexible weather proof' lp gas hose

Also, if you are going to try that, make sure your heater is rated for zero clearance to combustible surfaces.
