MN rest stops have free maps too and the official state maps are great.
But, if you really want a good detailed map you have to get one of these Delorme Atlas and Gazettes for each state. Like the one below for MN. I have one and absolutely love it. It has every detail listed. Parks, Campgrounds, and even small little back dirt roads. It's great.
