My wife and I own our RV lot in Key Largo and arrived here three weeks ago for our winter stay. Prior to coming here any time we were out in public, we would wear masks, and when we used to take our daily walk here we would wear them Our Campground is made up of both owners and renters, and to this day we have only seen a few people wearing masks. It is so bad that we no longer go out for our walk The people here come from all over the US, Canada and foreign countries, and I can only guess that they wore masks when they were in public places before coming here. It is almost like a herd mentality where one person is seen without a mask so they feel they shouldn't be wearing one. I would like to implore anyone who is going RV'ing to please follow what the authorities and RV park managers are asking you to do so those of us who do follow the rules won't catch the bug. You'll also be setting a good example for those that are not wearing masksGuy

Here is some very good advice, compare the plague numbers for Florida which has no enforceable lockdowns/or mask wearing with New York state which is about the same population and demographics, except that Florida has many more old folks. NY or course is run by the covid $#@!^^. And see which one has the better results.Since you most likely are one of the follow the science crowd, the results should guide your behavior.I give this thread two hours before it is blocked.

I wear them where required as I do the shopping.Neither of us can figure out why people driving by themselves are wearing masks.We do take walks in parks and wildlife refuges an do so sans masks. We think it funny when people twenty or thirty yards away pull up their masks as they approach us as the mear passing someone at multiples of recommended social distancing are a hazard to their health.

Yes, you apparently missed the fact that for the last 9 months Florida is not very big on corona virus restrictions. No big mystery there. Perhaps instead of trying in vain to force your views on the locals, you should go somewhere were your views align more with the areas prevailing way of thinking.

Florida’s governor has dismissed the severity of this pandemic since day one. Why should those in Florida act more concerned?
