I don't understand why anybody really cares how others "camp" or "RV". It's all about the whys, not the hows.
precisely. back in '85 when we were debating not only WHAT type of camping/RVing we wanted to do but whether we SHOULD camp/RV or stick with the car/motel plan we took a walk thru a campground at Yellowstone NP one overcast, rainy and cool day in September.
on one side of the road was 'The Family Circus'. dad, mom, 2.5 kids and fido in a large tent. they all had their heads out of the tent looking at the drizzle coming down and the muddy campsite. they didn't look particularly happy.
on the other side of the road was a motorhome. we could see 4-people sitting in the dinette playing cards. one of the folks then stood up and walked (presumably) to the microwave and came back to the table a few seconds later with a bowl of popcorn. prior to walking thru the CG I had already made up my mind as to what type of RV I thought would serve us best (a MH) but it was fun to watch my wife swivel her head between the tent campers on her left and the MH on her right...back and forth between the two scenes a couple of times. I could see the wheels turning. the end result? we bought a used MH in January of '86 and replaced it with a new one in June of '00.
