I don't know about losing members. But participation is certainly down. I always open first to the NEWEST topics, which give me the postings of the last 24 hours. A few years ago that always came up with 8-10 pages of new postings. The last year or two, it only comes up with 3-4 pages of new postings.
I do think a lot of people are turned off by the bickering and snide comments of some members.
