In terms of the typical answers to questions (ie get a diesel, or get a full ton), I think there is certainly some of the repeating old advice. But, I also find it interesting when folks post a typical question, that gets a typical answer, and said poster doesn't want to hear said typical answer. As soon as said poster gets an answer that he likes, it becomes 'the answer' and everyone else doesn't know anything. There's something to be said when a majority of folks provide the same answer.. it's likely there's some truth to it.
