A workcamping full timer......and to have this type of weather hit? Ouch!

Hang in there, at least here in Florida it is only going to last 2 nights.
Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 80's.

I appreciate your pity, but many of us don't need it.

Spent the first 20 years of my life in snow country. Sold and serviced snowmobiles. Trail rides. Sled racing. Ice fishing.

Been there, enjoyed the nature, but don' want that type of nature any longer. The past 41 years have been spent in the beautiful Sunshine State. Lots of nature there.

Not at all like living in a cocoon.

Let us northern NYers get in here too. Been pretty cold here this year. I would be in Florida now except I screwed up and scheduled a DRs' appt. next week. But shortly after that, I'll be headed for Crystal River. Can't wait!

I heard on the news that it was 34 in Fairbanks Alaska. And yes, local weather shows just love to have their reporters outside and all bundled up reporting the temps in the 30's and minus degree wind chills here. Grew uo in Michigan, and started riding the motorcycle when it hit 40.

Yeah, I visit Hawaii now and then and the folks there are all in a tizzy about rain. "How much did you get...we got an 1 1/2!". It's all relative.

Yesterday's low was -25f. Right now, it's -15f. My antifreeze is good down to -50f, a temp that we're not going to see.
