My wife took our 2004 Liberty to a local dealership a few weeks ago. They told her as well to wait for the notice letter from Jeep. I'm afraid that the Jeep will fall apart before the notice goes out. Right now I have a slight oil leak that is situated just north of an exhaust pipe, a popping noise coming from the front end, and only the passenger side window will go up and down. It does have 160K so we've probably got our money's worth.
Did you get the Ball Joints replaced under the recall?
I just did that last month.
I have had 2 regulators go out.
I replaced both myself. Took me about 30 minutes last time.
Jeep sells them for $300, but I got mine on Amazon for about $60.
