BenK, I understand your concerns about breaking into the hydraulics of the braking system, but as an ASE mechanic certified in brakes, electrical, HVAC, L1 engine performance, I have no concerns doing that or opening up the Jordan. I would agree that I would choose wisely, if I allowed someone else to do the work. If done correctly (using the proper adapters), there is very little that can go wrong. Bleeding isn't a problem, as I would either allow it to gravity bleed after the adapter, or have someone depress the pedal while I crack the line, again after the adapter.
As far as the P2/3, do you have seamless stops where the truck and trailer seem to work as one? If so, do you have to adjust the gain repeatedly when it doesn't? I only ask because you probably haven't driven a Jordan equipped TV to experience it's loveliness.... ;)
I hadn't thought of getting the TT brakes started before the TV.....that makes sense.
Bessie-Hunter, the unit is blank, with just the green light glowing, just like the pedal has not been pushed, and still blank after pushing the manual button.
My thoughts on the ground is that, I think, the green light shares the ground with the brake magnets. That means if the ground was bad, the green light would turn to red, when the larger load of the brakes came.
I gotten some good news. The guy that initially told me about the Jordan has an extra unit that I can try on my 'burb see if anything changes. I doubt if I can talk him out of it. His son uses one as well and will likely keep the extra for a back-up to his.
