Jucy RV (Small Rental)

I was out camping this last week with my truck camper, not too far from home when I spotted this set up in a local city park in Anacortes WA. These are rental units, and I can't help but think what a neat way for people to get out and enjoy camping on a small scale. Really a good thing for folks who just want to get out for an occasional over-night.

Hope these people don't mind me taking pictures of them without them knowing. Hans

Here's a photo from their web site of what the camper van looks like inside.

Thanks for sharing the info and photos.

They are a NZ Company, that strangely has not broken into the Australian market much, unlike Maui Motorhomes
  • I saw one last year here in a So Cal campground,It came in mid day with 2 people and a half empty bike rack.

Just before dark 2 people came in on bicycles, they spent the night then headed out. I asked about that and they were going from San Diego to the Redwoods, taking turns as they went.

Skipping some of the most dangerous parts when necessary. Sounded like a neat way to go.
  • We saw those and another company at the Grand Canyon NP this past spring. I bet a whole lot cheaper than renting a class c.

Cool concept.....hadn't seen those yet. Throw the kids up top and room to sleep inside for folks. Decent kitchen out the back.

Pricing wasn't too bad ($57/night) UNTIL
    Collision Ins/Supplement.......$22/night
    Mileage......100 miles /day $12/night

Probably close to nightly hotel rates/you at least you get to go camping :B
  • This is a wonderful idea. It can give those that want to be close to nature a good safe way to do it. I hope it catches on elsewhere.
  • I met a couple from France using one while visiting Zion NP. They rented out of Las Vegas.
