Jury duty summons while on a long trip

The DW and I are planning on a long 2-4 month cross country trip after we retire. Any suggestions as to what to do if a jury summons comes? Our daugther or a neighbor will be collecting our mail. I have email notification on almost all major bills so I can use paybiller thru my bank on the internet. I don't really want to setup mail forwarding, as we want to be flexible in our travels. We live in Los Angeles county and they are not very understanding.

  • When I go out of town I go on-line to the Post Office (USPS) and put a hold on my mail delivery until I get home. If the summons is sitting in the Post Office then you obviously were never notified about jury duty.
