Let me share our version of the noodle trick. I don't wrap the noodle along the edge of the slide. Instead, I leave it vertical so it is in my field of vision when I come charging around the side of the camper thinking about other things. I'd rather not hit the edge of that slide out at all than merely cushion the blow! I hope you can see it in this photo which was taken at Floating Mill Park in central Tenn. last summer.
