That's quite an arrogant, uninformed statement.
My dad was a welder his entire life. I would have loved for to have followed him during a weeks work. I doubt you would have lasted a day, max of 2.
He did all the pipe work, and all the other welding in a small plant that had a chemical reaction type of process. He welded really thick stainless pipe and other types of metal during construction of a nuclear reactor used at an electrical power plant. He did welding work while on a narrow catwalk over a river while helping the construction of a bridge over the river.
By the way, there are a hell of a lot of jobs that will turn your head to mush if you let them.

You couldn't pay me enough to be a welder. One of the most boring jobs on earth. Not talking about actually building something or fixing up cars etc.
These jobs usually mean hours of welding the same thing in a straight line for days on end. Turns your head to mush.
