I'm from a mining community, Sudbury.
My father worked 33 yrs in the mines as a maintenance mechanic. He did it all.
I payed my way through college working summers in the mines.
I've worked bush camps, diamond drilling, construction and a half dozen other hard dirty jobs.
You don't know me so keep your cheap comments to yourself.
I don't thing it makes any difference where you worked, or what you did to get thru college, your comments about welding is uniformed, and yes I have to agree, it comes off a bit arrogant. Many have worked there entire working life as welders , raised a family ,and were proud of their trade. Ya your comments were not called for.
