As a moderator I have to srep in here. Many, many times before a thread is closed or deleted, it has been heavily edited with posts deleted, that most readers never see. The thread may look clean and trouble free to you, but what has gone on in the background is anything but.....
Therefore it seems that there there is no reason for the thread to be deleted. When a post is deleted, those refering to it are deleted as well, so it may seem a post has been deleted for no reason.
We do have an administrator who oversees and is very fair. No mod gets away with being a "dictator". Moderating a world wide forum with many hundreds of thousands of posts is a daunting job done by volunteers. We take our responsibilities seriously and do make mistakes....we are human first, and would not do the job unless we loved it.
Please take into account the tendency of posters to hide behind a keyboard...some will say things they would never say in person.
