How common are the locks? How many combinations? I know about the CH751 key that many trailers use for the storage, but I thought the door would have more combinations? Master key?
There are not that many combinations, and you can buy a ring of keys from eBay or other places.
RV door key locks are durable... I will say that they work well in all kinds of weather. However, they are not in the same league as an average automotive key when it comes to pick resistance.
In a perfect world, RV makers would use two half-Euro cylinders for the locks and call it done. This way, it takes just unscrewing a single screw once the lock is off the door to pop out the lock for a change of key. An added bonus is "real" security, and would cost the handle maker little to no more than what is made today.
