One more thing. OTR truck drivers, which bring everything you eat or use to you, are required by law and excessive fines to stop and park their rigs for longer each day than they are allowed to keep it moving. The hours they are allowed to move also include the hours they are loading and unloading, required rest stops, and required inspection stops. And, they don't get paid anything for that time.
Union drivers get paid hourly rate for loading and unloading, inspection stops, breakdown time, and the company even has to pay overload fine and equipment law enforcement fines. But non-union, and I've been there, don't pay dittley squat. Best thing that ever happened to me was finding a union driving job.
