Keeping RV registered in different state after moving?

I currently live in Washington and will be registering my vehicle in WA. I will then move to California at some point, but want to keep my RV registered in WA. I am not doing this to avoid taxes...

It always raises red flags with law enforcement when you have a DL in one state and Tags in another... Then like said above your Insurance will need to be from the state your DL is in...

Living here in Virginia we see dual tags on RV's going up and down I95. One state on the rear and a different state on the front - Have no idea what that is all about...

The only folks around here that get a break are Military people...
